- Pugna is friendly with her peers and is a great icon for the Republic. All those under her are treated well and enjoy her company, or so she likes to believe at least. Her picture is often on the front page, and everything the Republic does, good or bad, is often pinned on her.

- Pugna’s stature is very much Human like, while her green skin comes from her Mirialan side. She has caramel brown hair as well as green eyes. Because she was not raised on Mirial, she lacks the common tattoos of her species as well as many traditions.
- Pugna can often be found in professional outfits that can vary from suits to dresses to robes. She normally wears scarves as well as high heels in public.
Born on Coruscant’s Galactic City, Pugna Acriter had a Mirialan father, and a Human mother. The two met at Coruscant university and fell in love, eventually resulting in the birth of Pugna.
From the time she could walk, Pugna’s parents were teaching her at home to ensure that she was of the utmost intellect. Thus, they home schooled her when she came of age.
Home schooling worked to Pugna’s advantage on two accounts: she was able to learn much, and because she started so early, she was well above her age level in intellect; and she had more free time, so she was able to play with her neighbor friends, thus developing great social skills within Pugna.
This lifestyle continued up until the end of Pugna’s schooling days. Although boredom set in for Pugna occasionally, her parents tried to keep things fresh, and the feeling never lasted long. Her friends respected her schooling, and found she was very intelligent. The stage was set for big things to occur for Pugna.
At 16, Pugna picked up an application for a CIT position at a local after school program. She was soon called back for an interview, and within a few weeks she began lending a hand to the center. The councilors found Pugna a great worker, and she enjoyed working with the children. During her time she dealt with many problems, and found herself in the middle of many feuds. She learned to debate, listen and explain herself the hard way. She had no idea these vital skills would lead her to a major career one day.
When Pugna reached 18, her parents took her to tour the University of Coruscant. She liked the way things worked around the university, and applied for it. The university almost immediately accepted her as a student, and she began studying in Micro Biology. A semester passed quickly, and Pugna’s grades were at the top of her class. Due to her phenomenal work, Pugna was able to attend a luncheon with a Senator of Coruscant.
The luncheon was a life changing experience for Pugna. She attended with two fellow classmates, along with numerous other students. The Senator spoke of his job, what he did, and how much he enjoyed it. Pugna began to like the sounds of the job, and thought she would be perfect for it. She enjoyed solving problems as well as speaking and debating.
Pugna began taking a few classes involving law, diplomacy, government and such, and after every semester it seemed she dropped a few more science classes and picked up a few more classes involving work a Senator deals with. Her parents were supportive of her choices, and provided funds for her classes.
Pugna’s hard work and vast knowledge allowed her to quickly catch up her missed semesters in the studies of government, and even allowed her to excel above her classmates. She was often meeting with professors during their office hours and spent hours studying at the Senate Library.
By her fourth year at the University of Coruscant, Pugna’s professors were astounded by her work and amazed by her intellect. She was recommended for advanced classes at Coruscant’s College of Law and the Diplomatic Institute. Pugna graduated from the University of Coruscant at the age of 22 at the top of her class.
She continued to take advanced classes for 2 years. During this time she obtained an apartment near her parent’s home. She also received a job as a Senator’s assistant to pick up some extra credits. Her duties were to get the Senator coffee, answer phones, fill out paperwork, keep a schedule, etc. However, the job did provide a perfect view for what Pugna was aspiring to be, and loved every second of learning she received from her mentor.
Pugna also took a course on economy at the University of Coruscant after she graduated. The purpose of it was to merely take up the few hours of free time she had and she learned a lot. The class was somewhat relaxing for Pugna, as she really didn’t care what her grades were in the class.
After she completed the two years of advanced classes, Pugna quit her job as an assistant to a Senator, and began campaigning for an open spot on the Coruscant’s Senate. She in fact had barely any campaigning to do. After the word got out she was running, her family, friends and professors stepped in and spoke for her, bragging to the public of her accomplishments. She was elected to the local senate by a landslide.
Within a month of her election, Pugna began fighting to lower taxes that favored the wealthy, and began to spoke for the common man. Her slogan became, “Fight for those who work, not for those who work.” This time, her reputation began to carry her through the ranks. When the representative for Coruscant in the Galactic Senate, the vary one that inspired Pugna to take on a role in government, fell ill and resigned, Pugna’s name was immediately thrown into the mix of potential replacements. It was a close race, and Pugna needed to push herself to the position. To show she favored the common man, Pugna started a campaign called “Relax for a Day”, during which Pugna and her friends took the place for a staff of a small, local business for a day, allowing the workers to take the day off. The campaign went on for two month, and Pugna participated at an estimated 30 businesses. The outcome was exactly what Pugna expected, and she was elected to the senate. It seemed no one could compete with one that clearly favored the common man over wealth.
Pugna entered the Galactic Senate at the age of 27. She voted for what she thought favored the common man, but found no opportunity to start a campaign.
At 28, the Senate came across a major problem. Hidden in the wilderness of Naboo, former political leaders, along with small villages of citizens and various war lords, gathered and threatened to rebel against the city of Naboo and its government. The Senate voted to send a team of diplomats to end the problem. Naturally, the senator representing Naboo was selected to go. Pugna was also selected, as she attended classes at the Institute of Diplomacy and was experienced with the diplomatic ways. Two other senators were selected to go. The group was accompanied by 4 Jedi: 2 Masters, 1 Knight and 1 Padawan, for protection.
The squadron set out and was directed to the camp site of the rebels. The rebels were resentful to listen to the diplomats, but after hearing many pleas from the senator from Naboo, they agreed to hear their terms. Each senator had a turn to speak. Pugna spoke third:
“Citizens, we are all upset with one aspect of the Galaxy, and we all have a way to make our ideas realized. However, violence isn’t the answer. Confidence within words and speech is what will get you taken seriously by the Senate, by the Republic and by the Galaxy. I come as a peer, not a senator, today to ask you to put down your arms and let your words be heard in a proper way. I will allow you to speak to the Galaxy, and ensure everyone hears your request, and every last person on this campsite is given a chance to speak their complaints and have them resolved.”
By the end of the speeches the rebels agreed to put down their arms. They were accepted back into society, although it took some tweaking by the senators, and they were given a chance to speak on galactic news networks, as well as in front of the Senate, as promised by Pugna. The diplomats returned as heroes, and while all did add to the victory, Pugna was given most credit. Her favor of the common man convinced the people of the Republic to believe her reputation loosened the minds of the rebels, and allowed them to become open to more ideas. She was also mentioned by the senator from Naboo as the “top contributor” in an interview on a national network. But perhaps what set her above the others the most was her mention by the rebels themselves. Although only being referred to as the “greened skin lady”, she was said to have contributed the final push to the agreement of peace. Thus, Pugna became an icon throughout the Galaxy and amongst the Senate.
When Pugna was 30, the current Chancellor of the Republic’s 2nd 4 year terms expired, and he stepped down. The Senate got together to name their nominees for the position. Pugna was nominated by the senator from Naboo and was second by numerous others.
The election came quickly, and Pugna’s past success allowed her to win by a land slide.
She now sits in her office, newly elected Supreme Chancellor of the Republic.
