Lightsaber Color:Both Green
Lightsaber Crystal Type:Ultima-Pearl(main) and Nextor(shoto)
Lightsaber Combat Skills:
-Shii-Cho: Form I is the most basic of the seven forms and is learned by every Jedi Youngling. Shii-Cho includes the fundamental elements of all the lightasber forms including the basic attack, parry, body target zones, and practice drills called velocities.
- Makashi: Form II represents the ultimate refinement of lightsaber-to-lightsaber combat. Masters of Makashi develop unique offenses and defenses and train studiously against having their sabers taken or damaged.
- Shien/Djem-So: Form V was also created in response to the advancement and frequency of blaster use in the galaxy. Unlike the strictly defensive style Soresu, Shien exploits the ability of a lightsaber to block blaster bolts and deflect them back at an opponent in a counter-attack maneuver.
-Mounted Lightsaber Combat: Mounted lightsaber combat was practiced when Jedi would have to use their lightsabers in combat while riding a mount such as a tauntaun, or mounted on a mechanical means of transportation, like a swoop bike.
In this type of lightsaber combat, the Jedi would normally use one hand only, the other hand steering the mount. It would typically consist of simple attacks lashing out at grounded enemy units. Such attacks were normally low lunges with the lightsaber of a diagonal semi-circular nature, as the Jedi—being on a mount—would naturally be elevated in relation to the target. Thus there were some common features between mounted lightsaber combat and the airborne Trispzest lightsaber combat system, the difference being that in mounted lightsaber combat, the Jedi had much less freedom of movement.
The Jedi could also use the lightsaber to incapacitate other mounted units, by lashing out at either the mount, which was efficient especially if the enemy unit was riding a swoop bike, or the rider himself. Finally, the Jedi could use the lightsaber to deflect blaster shots and the like, thus protecting himself or herself while riding the mount.
-Tràkata: Tràkata was a form of lightsaber combat. It took advantage of a lightsaber blade's ability to be turned on and off, a unique quality in a melee weapon. Quickly shutting off then re-igniting the blade could cause confusion in one's opponents, allowing for diversionary feints in combat. Sith Lords would occasionally use this form to free their blade hand, allowing greater control of some force powers, such as Force lightning.
Philosophically, Tràkata involves practical combat and deception, rather than single minded determination or endless patience. It is rarely used by the Sith, since the power of the Sith comes from passion rather than practicality, and it is rarely used by the Jedi since they try not to rely on deception, unless they need to exert greater influence over the Force.
Members of the New Jedi Order known to employ this technique include Jedi Master Mara Jade Skywalker. Jedi Master Corran Horn used a variant of this technique during the Yuuzhan Vong War, one notable occurrence being while he was battling Shedao Shai on Ithor. During the battle Horn and Shai were locked in combat and Horn deactivated his lightsaber then ignited it again into Shedao Shai killing the temporary Supreme Commander. During her duel with Ben Skywalker, Sith apprentice Tahiri Veila used this technique to great effect. Skywalker forced her lightsaber aside, so Tahiri switched her lightsaber off and on so fast Skywalker barely had time to react allowing her to extend the blade to where his throat had been just moments before.
Other Combat Skills:
-Master Tactician: After a long life with many battles within said life, Nicholas has become a Master Tactician able to use the resources at hand, no matter how small, to win or bring the majority of his allies back to their families safely. Only rarely has he been able to be completely defeated.
-Ace Pilot: Nicholas, despite his rare chances to actually do so, is an Ace Pilot and can pilot just about any ship that he is given. He is usually seen flying the usual Jedi Starfighter known as the StealthX.
Other Skills:
-Chef: Nicholas is a decent Chef, not a master and definitely not a fancy chef. Nicholas dabbles a bit in every area of cooking and can be seen trying to get better at cooking when he has some down time and such.
-Master Debater Being a Jedi Master and the Grand Master of the Order, Nicholas has learned that he needs to be able to talk most situations down and try to not resort to using the Force or his Lightsaber.
-Survivalist Expert: Nicholas has spent many days in the wild, from prior to his knighthood to his Mastership. Nicholas has trained himself to know just about everything about a great number of planets so that if he ever gets stranded on one of those planets he can save himself. He also knows what to look for on unknown planets to himself in case he gets stranded on a planet unknown to him.
Force Powers:
-Force Storm: Force Storm was a Force lightning variant. The user would raise his palm upward and would create, through the Force, an explosion of electrical energy directed at all foes in the vicinity. It was used by both the Sith and Dark Jedi during the Jedi Civil War. It also appeared as a tornado of energy which created a great disturbance in the Force. Jedi could also join together to create a Force storm, though its use was frowned upon by more orthodox Jedi.
Unlike the Force lightning, Force Storm was not limited to attacking enemies in one direction, as it affected all foes within a certain radius from the user. Revan and the Jedi Exile may have mastered this particular power. Darth Bane and Darth Sidious were also notable users of this power; Bane being able to call upon a nearly uncontrollable Force Storm shortly after having been taught the basics of Force Lightning by Githany, who herself had only learnt the power the same day from Qordis.
-Force Persuade: The concept of Force persuasion was the use of the Force to exert influence. Some species with highly organized mental facilities were known to be inherently resistant to its effects, requiring more skill, among them Hutts, Toydarians, Yinchorri, Dashade, Falleen and possibly Snivvians. For example, Revan could persuade Motta the Hutt, but Luke Skywalker failed in his attempt to persuade Jabba the Hutt. Also during the Jedi Civil War, certain ranks of soldiers were trained to resist this technique. Known variants included affect mind and dominate mind, with dominate mind being a more advanced version of the former.
When using a Jedi mind trick, a Jedi often waved his or her hand to aid in the persuasion. The Jedi adopted a peculiar tone of voice along with a casual facial expression. The sentient being that was the object of the mind trick tended to adopt a casual tone of voice but a peculiar facial expression. He or she, should the trick succeed, then agreed to whatever was being told to them without being able to think for themselves. Moments later, they would feel puzzled about their new opinion, but usually didn't feel like changing it back.
Usage of the mind trick was a moral issue for the Jedi, violating as it did the individual's free will and conscience. Thus the Jedi were strictly proscribed from using it for personal gain (such as in betting or bargaining), reserving its use for when it would serve the greater good (greater good could also be sometimes a reason to overlook this restriction); the Sith and other Dark Jedi however, had no qualms about the usage of the ability.
Yarael Poof, himself, when instructing Jedi students, stressed that a user must be mindful when utilizing this ability that their target is nevertheless a living being with lives of their own, and extra precaution must be exercised as their command could potentially ruin their target's life. He provided this explanation in the Asli Krimsan Holocron:
-Shatterpoint: Shatterpoints were perceived like faults in a Corusca gem. In relation to events, a single "strike," or action, could cause events to transpire completely differently than they might otherwise have. Often, shatterpoints existed for only brief moments, as they could be affected by even the smallest actions. Shatterpoints could also be discovered in the physiology of living beings. Cade Skywalker was able to perceive shatterpoints in Darth Talon, whom he had previously healed from mortal injury. By focusing through the Force on where the healing had taken place, Skywalker was able to see where her old wounds were, and reopen them.
When applied to physical items, shatterpoints worked much in the same manner. An individual would view an item through the Force, noting where it came together and also noting weak points in its composition. By allowing the Force to surge through them into the weak point, individuals could effectively "shatter" the object, causing it to break into multiple fragments. Because the Force granted supernatural ability to those who were adept in its use, materials thought to be near-indestructible were easily destroyed. Such was the case with Jedi Knight Jaina Solo, who effortlessly shattered a disc of pure beskar while practicing the technique under her uncle, Luke Skywalker.
-Sever Force: When preparing to disconnect a being from the Force, a wall of light-side energy was created by the attacker. This wall then "blocked" the victim's ability to sense and manipulate the Force, effectively making them appear to be dead to the Force.
While intended to be an attack with usually irreversible consequences, severing an individual's Force connection was not always permanent. When the effected being had the Force restored to them, it returned as a painful and sudden rush of feelings, as the Force immediately allowed the individual to sense everything around them at once. This was the case with Jedi Ben Skywalker, who had his Force connection severed by his cousin and Sith Lord, Darth Caedus. Caedus had blocked his cousin's Force abilities while holding him captive in the Yuuzhan Vong torture device known as the Embrace of Pain.
In times of ancient Jedi, severing Force connections was used as a means of punishment. In 3,951 BBY, Jedi Masters Zez-Kai Ell, Kavar and Vrook Lamar attempted to use this power on the Jedi Exile, but Kreia stopped them not by severing their own Force connections—rather draining them, and ultimately killing them. Also, individuals could disrupt their own connections to the Force. At one point close to the end of the Clone Wars, Jedi Master Tholme temporarily cut himself off from the Force, so that he would be thought dead by Quinlan Vos. During his capture by the Yuuzhan Vong, the Fosh female Vergere used this ability on Jacen Solo in order to influence his thinking and start him on his path down to the Dark side.
This may have been how the Force sensitive sentient planet Yuuzhan'tar rendered the Yuuzhan Vong Force-dead. In a very taxing variation of this technique usable only by those with experience in battle meditation, the Force user could use the Force to sever a target who was heavily tainted or consumed by the dark side. This technique effectively caged the user's power within their own darkness, rendering them almost completely insensitive to the Force (though not dead to it). Any time the victim of the technique attempted to touch the Force, it would require an act of will that was near-impossible for even the strongest of minds. The more tainted the user had been, the more difficult the act would be. However, the technique could be broken with time, as the victim slowly purged the darkness from within and returned to the light. Nomi Sunrider used this technique on Ulic Qel-Droma after he killed his brother Cay on Ossus. In time, Ulic managed to redeem himself, and thus became one with the Force at the moment of his death.
-Flow-Walking: Flow-walking was a rare Force power used by the Aing-Tii monks. It was taught to Jacen Solo by the Aing-Tii, it allowed him to view the past and the future. When one flow-walks, they can only change a person's perception of the past, but not the past itself.
-Battle Precognition: Battle Precognition was a variant of precognition that allowed one to sense the flows of the Force and anticipate an opponent's moves, increasing reaction time in combat.
Jedi Padawan Tallisibeth Enwandung-Esterhazy (better known as "Scout") might have had this power. The Jedi Knight Revan and the Jedi Exile were known to be gifted users of Battle Precognition. The Jedi Exile learned this ability from Brianna. Darth Bane also possessed a natural ability for precognition before he even began training as a Sith. Nova Stihl possessed a nearly identical ability, which he called Blink.
The Echani were known to possess a variant of this ability which did not draw from the Force but from the warrior's own instincts. The most elite Echani warriors were able to predict battles and even the course of a war. It was probable that such outcomes grew more likely or unlikely as critical moments approached and passed.
-Force Meld: Force Meld, otherwise known as Jedi meld or Battle meld, was a technique where a number of Force users joined their minds together through the Force, drawing strength from each other. A refinement of battle meditation, it was known to the ancient Jedi, though dangerous. While Battle meditation could influence both the Force-sensitives and the insensitives of both sides, Force Meld concentrates on coordinating and improving the Force-sensitives of the user's side.
-Telepathy: Telepathy was the very basic ability to mentally communicate over small or vast distances with other individuals. Every Force user, Jedi or Sith, was able to use it. The range of telepathy itself is theoretically infinite, but the telepath must be able to sense the presences of those they wish to contact. Thus, communicating with non-Force-sensitives became nearly impossible over distances greater than a handful of kilometers, and the typical upper limit for Force-sensitives was approximately 1,000 kilometers. However, individuals who are siblings, related, lovers, or lifelong friends, or who were once master and apprentice, have been known to communicate across ranges far longer than that, and, in extreme cases (such as the twin bond between Jacen and Jaina Solo), the link is apparently limitless.
Generally, a Force-user was not telepathic enough to truly read minds in other being, but only the emotions and images of them. This form of basic telepathy is more commonly known to be Force empathy. It should be noted that while every Force-adept was able to use it, very few were actually skilled enough to commit in actual telepathic conversations. Most Force-sensitive individuals could only exchange short four or five-word sentences to those that they shared close bonds with. Usually, Jedi employed telepathy only to read the states of minds or engage in silent communications. Eye contact, in part, allowed a user to have less difficulty in focusing on a target's thoughts. A very skilled user could isolate their own brain waves, intercept stray thoughts, screen multiple minds simulatenously, whisper across space, yell without noise, keep secrets, and uncover the truths under layers of deceits and hidden memories. Adept pilots could even be able to seek information from other stars so as to navigate a starship through hyperspace without use of a nav computer. Moreover, telepathy also gave its user an advantage in combat, being able to easily predict the next movement of an opponent.
Saesee Tiin, Plo Koon and Kit Fisto were three of the most skilled Jedi telepaths.
Some species, such as the Iktotchi, the Hortek, the Quermians, and the Draethos, had evolved a natural telepathic ability, common even to those of their number who could not touch the Force. When trained as Jedi, their natural talents were often magnified a thousandfold or more. This was the case with Saesee Tiin, whose natural prowess in the ability caused him great discomfort during his years as a Padawan. It was not until he was trained by Jedi Master Omo Bouri that he learned to better control his telepathic sense.
Because telepathy was such a basic use of the Force, Luke Skywalker was able to employ it to reach out to Leia Organa and call for her help during the Occupation of Bespin. Dark Lord Vader then (as Luke and the group were escaping) called out to Luke to again convince him to join him and embrace the dark side. The fact that the three were related allowed them to reach out over even greater distances.
-Comprehend Speech: Comprehend Speech is a Force ability that enables a Jedi to understand the spoken language of any sentient he/she is interacting with, though it does not necessarily allow him/her to speak it, merely understand the general meaning. It is possibly an extension of the Telepathy power, as Revan was described as "ripping the Rakatan language from their minds," comprehending their tongue only moments after meeting them. Obi-Wan Kenobi also demonstrated this ability on Nelvaan, having been able to understand and translate the speech of a Nelvaanian shaman Orvos, though some of the nuances of the speech evaded him. Use of the ability is aided if the sentient itself is Force-sensitive to some degree, as demonstrated when Luke Skywalker encountered the Qom Jha on Nirauan, and found he understood their language without making an attempt to interpret it.
This power was known to the Witches of Dathomir as the Spell of Interpretation.
-Theran Force-listening: Theran Force-listening was a Force technique used by the Theran Listeners to hear through the Force. With it, Force-sensitives could understand words in another language or listen to beings talking from a distance. Jacen Solo learned the technique from the Therans after the Yuuzhan Vong War, Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi were also known to have used this ability
Personality:
- Nick is mostly a kind and understanding person, he can be quite serious though at most times he tends to be the nice guy who likes to kid around and goof off. When it comes to training his Padawan though, he is very serious; though sometimes that cannot be seen in his training methods. Though after the death of his first Padawan he decided to not take another Padawan until he thought he could find one that was skilled enough to train one.
- Nick also tends to like to train a lot by himself, he rarely trains with anyone else, unless it’s a spar duel where he tends to truly go all out, just stopping himself from using killing blows; should he use a Real Lightsaber and not a Training Saber. Nick though has recently considered taking on another Padawan Learner, and has been secretly looking for a new Padawan, someone who can learn what he has to teach and not die in combat shortly after attaining Knighthood.
-Though he has achieved many accolades through his many engagements, Nick does not like to fight in actuality. Nick will fight if he must but he will rarely do so, he will however aim to destroy the Sith and any Dark Side Force User he comes across; but that will usually occur after he has failed to talk them back to the light side of the Force.
Appearance:
::Image::Image::
- Bodily appearance: Nicholas has orange hair and brown eyes, he has a slender body that isn’t built for hand to hand combat but is built for the elegant combat of a Lightsaber. Because he doesn’t use the his physique to fight he relies heavily on his debate skills and his Lightsaber Skills. Nicholas is a Caucasian male and he has slender eyebrows that are not very profound. His forehead is normal size for someone of his build and some have even said he almost looks like a teenager at times.
-Apparel: Instead of the usual brown and tan Jedi Outfit, Nicholas wears a black and white outfit of Black Hakama pants with white toe-socks and straw sandals. Around his abdomen are white medical bandages that he wears for some reason although he never has an injury there. The pants are tied off with a white sash that looks lose but is actually tied tightly. Finally he wears two differently colored Kimono cloaks, a white under Kimono and a Black top Kimono. That looks to be ripped in quite a few places mainly along the edges of both Kimono’s.
History:
Birth – To acceptance to the Order:
Nicholas was born on the planet Corellia, as an infant from what he remembers, he was a very loved child. Nicholas was found very early on, around the age of two, by the Jedi as having a good amount of Midichlorians Jedi level amounts. Shortly after this discovery Nicholas was taken from his parents and other family members in their home on Corellia.
After a few weeks though, he had finally manage to suppress his sadness about his family; the masters understood that he was still a youngling, and couldn't comprehend but at times he needed a lecture, and so he was given one. Though after a few of the lectures Nick finally understood, and did his best to detach himself from his former family, and with the exception of a few times, he managed to do that.
Youngling to Padawan:
After a Year of no instruction he began his lessons as a Jedi Padawan-in-training. During his training he would hear about all of these different classes of Jedi Knights, from Counselor to Guardian, and he'd hear stories of them which intrigued him to no end, and decided to start visiting the library and read up on the classes.
Throughout these trips to the achieves, he would look up not only the Jedi Knight classes, but Lightsaber forms and Force Powers. He figured himself a Guardian, that would never be suited for the Healing end of the Force Power spectrum; something he could live with. It was around now that he had heard of the uprising within the Mandalorian Political Group and how there was a possibility of war on the for front of the Republics mind.
Around the age of Ten, Nick was up for Padawan Selection. He was lucky, he was chosen by one of the best Jedi Masters in the academy, his new Jedi Master was Markus Sage. Nick welcomed the Master like a second father or a long lost brother. Master Sage then began to train Nick the very next day, his training was very much like any other Padawans training; there were several easy missions and a few harder missions.
Nick's Master, decided to teach Nick how to use the style of Soresu whilst Nick was still in the middle of training in Shii-Cho, the training would occur simultaneously. While learning the advanced form of Shii-Cho he'd learn the beginning forms of Soresu. A few years later, when Nick was about age 15, the two were given their first mission together.
The Building of his Lightsaber:
After receiving their mission, about a month prior, Nicks Master took Nick to the Planet Ilum, where he would build his first Lightsaber. Nick first was taught how to build a saber, shown how to make one and all of that good stuff. Nicks Master then instructed him to get in a meditative state with his Lightsaber in two parts in front of him, he then began to Meditate.
Nick then used the force to find the crystals that would be used in his Saber, he then plucked them from very walls of the cave while at the same time unscrewing the part of the Lightsaber where the Power Crystal would go, and placed it in the hilt and screwed that chamber back together. He then used the force to find a Lightsaber crystal that would give the saber its aesthetic properties. After about a minute, he found it, a green Lightsaber Crystal, he then plucked that Crystal from the wall and put that in between the two parts of the hilt, and put the saber together. The whole thing took about One to Two months, though it seemed like a week in his mindset since he spent most of the time in deep meditation.
The First Mission:
Their mission was simple, or at least it started out simple. they were to go on a small mapping of an unknown section of the Planet Kashyyyk, the area was the shadowlands. Nick and his Master thought the mission would be easy, but it wouldn't be. During the mission the two were attacked by a Dark Jedi Knight, one that was skilled in both the use of the Force and was skilled in his use of a Lightsaber.
The assailant managed to remove Markus' Lightsaber from the area, with a simple slash to the hilt. Nick then brought his Saber out and quickly stopped a slash to the back of Markus' back. Nick then proceeded to duel the man, with everything he had. Though the man didn't take long to beat Nick, and send his Lightsaber Flying.
Nick's Master then got up, and grabbed Nicks Lightsaber. He then activated it with a Snap-hiss, Nicks master then swiped the blade across the mans head, removing it from his now lifeless corpse. The two then finished their mission, and went back to Coruscant.
The Major Mission:
Their mission was relatively simple: they were to go undercover and bring down an underground Spice Smuggling Ring. For the mission they were given VibroSwords and smuggler clothing. They then went to the dark depths of Coruscant and began their years work of undercover investigation. It didn't take them long to find the Gang that was in charge of this planets Smuggling chain, nor did it take long to get accepted into the gang as full members.
It wasn't long though before they had the information they needed to bring the group down, what should have taken about Nine Months took them Six, for the next six months the Jedi Order in cooperation with the local Police Department, made plans on how to bring the smuggling chain down, and after about five more months the two organizations came up with a plan. The remainder of the last month was divided with final planning and execution. During the time he was in the mission, he had been training in the Soresu form, with his Black VibroSword, which he'd go on to keep with him after the mission.
Return to the Jedi Order:
After the mission was completed and the two returned to the Temple Nick was made a Jedi Knight of the Republic, after a short duel with one of the Masters, to display his mastery of the Shii-Cho Lightsaber form. For his successful completion of the mission that he went on, their (Nick and his Master) job was done so well, that the Spice Smugglers still didn't know what had happened to them.
Nick was given some down time, the remainder of the year and the following year, a nice long break, to which he would actually train his Soresu form up to mastery, since he had trained the majority of the form during the mission. Also during his time at the Undercover Investigation he mastered Shii-Cho. At the end of the year when he returned to the Order as a fully fledged Jedi Knight of the Grand Republic.
Padawan Time
Shortly after returning to the Academy, the Jedi Council made Nick choose a Padawan. Nick then choose Keith Jones to be his Padawan Learner. While it was part of his goal to become a Jedi Master Guardian, he needed to reach the Rank of Jedi Master first, and that meant training the Padawan to Knighthood. Nick began to train the Padawan just as he was trained by his master.
Nick began to train his Padawan shortly after meeting his Padawan as Master and Apprentice. Nick made sure to train him as he was trained, with some minor and some major variations so as to make the training all his own. Nick did train his apprentice in the Soresu art, as he was, though when it came to Lightsaber Form training the most of their time was spent on the Shii-Cho form. Nick and his Padawan were assigned a mission shortly after the beginning of their training together, about a month or so after.
The First Mission as a Knight and Master:
Their mission was quite simple, a wealthy business man had been receiving some threatening messages Via Holonet, Nick and his Padawan were charged with protecting the man. Nick and his Padawan thusly packed their bags and headed for the mans mansion on Corellia. After a few hours transport, the two arrived at the mans Mansion, they rang the bell and the man opened the door, he was being escorted by two HK-50 Attack Droids, but feared that the two would not be enough, hence why he had called for help from the Jedi Order.
Nick and his Padawan were given a room near the security section of the house, as well as full clearance around the House. After about a week, the mission was nearly over, since the man had only paid for about a weeks worth of protection, the two began to clean up shop. Though it was that day that a Dark Jedi attacked the Mansion, Nick and his Padawan quickly dispatched the Dark Jedi after a heated battle, the man thanked them and they went on their way.
After about ten years, Nick's Padawan was made a Jedi Knight for his successful completion of many missions demonstrating his worth of becoming a Jedi Knight. It showed his bravery, his honor and his Intellect as well as Skill. Shortly afterwards though, he heard of his Former Padawans passing on to become one with the force due to a Dark Jedi Masters attack on one mission that Nicks former Padawan, Keith was on. Although he never showed it openly, a piece of Nick died, a small piece, but a piece of him none the less.
Masterhood
About two to three days after the successful passing of his Padawans ascension to Knighthood. The Masters then had Nick kneel, and they made him recite the code, and upon his completion of the code recital, they told him to rise, as a Jedi Master of the Republic.
”You may be strong with the Force, but if you think that means you can commit horrible deeds then you are wrong and it is my job to bring your reign of terror to an end.”

"...While this guard may prove to be an obstacle on your mission, he is also a living being. He may not be menacing by nature, merely an employee or servant. He may have a family, others who care about him. Had you met him under different circumstances, you might have discovered him to be a friend and ally. What to do, then? Make the guard see you as a small, unthreatening creature? Make him go to sleep, or forget he saw you at all? Hypnotically suggest that you have leapt away from where you are standing, and encourage the guard to chase the apparition you have created? Project a frightening image that will cause him to flee? All these things could very well work, young Jedi, but have you considered the consequences? What if the guard enjoys shooting at small, unthreatening creatures? What if his species is physically incapable of sleep? What if he forgets he saw you, but the fact that he even unwittingly allowed you to pass will cost him his job or his life? What physical trauma will he suffer if he chases your apparition into a wall of solid rock? What if you strike such fear in him that he dies on the spot, or forgets the nature of gravity as he tries to escape over the edge of the nearest cliff?"
Appearance:
::Image::Image::
